Great News!

Mark returned to the doctor today for the results of his CT scan and blood tests he had earlier in the week. Dr. Aviles said there are two very tiny nodules, one in the original spot in the left under arm area and one in the center of his chest, near his right lung. Neither is worth addressing at this time and the blood tests were excellent as well. When we inquired why Mark still is so exhuasted all the time, he again stated that the rigorous treatments he had would have killed most people and that it may be the end of summer before Mark returns to somewhat normal energy levels. The only problem which needs to be addressed now is that Mark never regained full range of motion in his arm after treatments. So, he is visiting a physical therapist this afternoon in hopes of learning some exercises he can do on his own. We returned from a month in Puerto Rico last weekend for these tests and now that he will not have to return for more tests for three months, we intend to return to Puerto Rico again for a month as soon as we can arrange a flight!
We had a really nice gathering with the whole staff of CAPE MEDICAL SUPPLY yesterday
for our annual meeting and were touched by their kind words while reminiscing and tickled by thier humor! Hopefully, they won't leave the company and go on the road as a comedy troupe! Mike and Steph have now returned home from CA. Mike started working at the company three weeks ago in the financial division and seems to really like it. Him and Steph are elated with the spacious apartment they got in Pinehills in Plymouth. Gary and Kristina are planning a rare, but well earned, Sandals vacation at the end of February. Kevin is in Europe for six weeks training and racing and trying to rendez-vous with his girlfriend. There is a dearth of snow there, just like in the northeast so they are experiencing all sorts of difficulties due to the poor conditions He returns at the end of February and we hope to catch some of his races in
the northeast in March.
Thanks for caring, for praying and for keeping Mark on your radar screen. We appreciate all the inspiration we've received to enjoy our retirement and we intend to do just that! The blog will be updated after Mark's next series of tests in mid-May.
